Arizona Voluntary Self-Exclusion (AZ VSE)
Any Arizona resident can enrol in the state's Voluntary Self-Exclusion list at any Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) office or any tribal casino gaming commission office. Enrolment terms:
- Choose 1 year, 5 years, or lifetime self-exclusion
- Applies to all 25 tribal casinos in Arizona
- Also covers any AZ-licensed sports betting or daily fantasy operator
- Any winnings earned while self-excluded are forfeited
- Removal before the term ends requires a formal petition and counsellor sign-off
Note for offshore players: AZ VSE does not reach offshore online casinos. If you play on Ignition, BetOnline, Bovada or Wild Casino and want to self-exclude, you must enrol separately with each operator. Every casino we recommend in our best online casino Arizona rankings is required to offer a self-exclusion tool — it is a ranking-factor requirement.

- Loss limit — cap net losses over a set period
- Session time limit — auto-logout after a chosen number of minutes
- Reality check — on-screen reminders of time played and money wagered
- Cool-off — suspend the account for 24h, 72h or 7 days
- Self-exclusion — block access for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanent
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Gambling can become harmful when it stops being entertainment. Warning signs include:
- Betting more than you can afford to lose
- Chasing losses with larger bets
- Hiding gambling activity from family
- Borrowing money or selling belongings to gamble
- Feeling anxious, depressed or irritable when not gambling
- Gambling interfering with work, relationships or sleep
- Lying about money or time spent gambling
If three or more of these apply to you or someone you love, please call 1-800-NEXT-STEP today.
Blocking Software
If self-exclusion is not enough, device-level blocking software can prevent access to every major online casino. Options:
- Gamban — gamban.com (covers all offshore and regulated casinos, $2.08/mo)
- BetBlocker — betblocker.org (free)
- GamStop — UK-only but some offshore sites honour it voluntarily
